TRINITY fue el nombre en clave de la primera detonación de un arma nuclear, llevada a cabo por el ejército de Estados Unidos el 16 de julio de 1945. La arena del desierto se fundió y se convirtió en un vidrio de color verde claro ligeramente radiactivo, que fue denominado TRINITITA (TRINITITE).

TRINITY was the code name of the first detonation of a nuclear weapon, conducted by the United States Army on July 16, 1945. The desert sand melted and became a mildly radioactive light green glass, which was named TRINITITE.
